Outfit of the Day!

Hi Everyone!

This is what I wore today. Please watch in HD and forgive my camera XD. Thanks!

The weather has cooled down a bit from the 80s to the mid-70s. It was partially cloudy too. But if you walked around a lot you got really hot!

I think this is a simple but cute look!

I hope you enjoyed the video!

Thanks for watching. =)

Review on Essential Intensive Treatment Pack from Japan

Hi Everyone!

Today I am reviewing one of the products I bought in Japan.
I'm sorry but I don't quite remember the proper name of the product but I'll give a very similar description.

Today I am reviewing the Essential Intensive Treatment Pack

I'm sorry but I don't remember the price however since I bought it, it must be pretty affordable.
This treatment pack comes with 4 tubes about 4-5 inches long. It is said to treat dry and damaged hair.

Directions: Apply to hair before showering starting from the hair at the ears all the way to the tips of the hair. Emphasize product on the ends of the hair. Keep in hair for 5 minutes and then rinse off while shampooing.

What do I think of this product?
I wanted to try this product because the winter was quite cold and dry in Japan and when I returned to the US it was very hot and dry with the Santa Ana winds. As a result my hair became more dry and brittle.
Don't underestimate the tubes, they make look small but they can definitely cover a lot of hair! My hair from the shoulders down is about 15 inches long, and it was able to to cover all of it!
I think this is a pretty good product overall. The formula is more watery than thick so it can be applied easily to dry hair. I don't recommend to put it on wet hair because it tends to become very slippery and can slip off. This product helped strengthen and protect my hair a lot. My hair became less damaged and brittle. I am able to brush my hairs without breaking a lot of strands.
However, this product did make my hair quite dry actually, so I always used conditioner after rinsing it off and after that there is no problem.
I already used up all of the tubes and I wish I bought more =(, but I'm glad it was a product that helped my hair!

Do I recommend this product?
If you have thin, damaged, and brittle hair that snaps easily I recommend this product! Dont go crazy looking for it or buying it for a ridiculous price. If you can get your hands on it for an affordable price, try it! It will help strengthen and protect your hair! I do advise using conditioner after rinsing this hair treatment off so your hair won't become too dry.

So, I hope that my review was helpful to you! I'm sorry if you do not live in Asian because I understand it is harder to get your hands on products out of your country. However, if you ever see this product or are able to get your hands on it, I hope my review helped you at the time.
Thank you for reading! Feel free to write any comments or questions in the comment box below! Have a great 3 day weekend for those of you in the United States and a great weekend non-the-less for everyone else! =)

Outfit of the Day!

Hi everyone!

It's HOT in southern California! 80F!

Here are some pictures of what I wore today.
I decided not to make a video this time because I think the pictures are pretty self-explanatory.

I hope you liked the look!

The dress is from Charlotte Russe! I got it on the clearance rack for about $15! So cheap and cute! Shoes are from DSW Shoes.

Honestly I am a bit annoyed at the weather. I bought cute winter clothes in Japan for a reason! Gr!
But I know, I'm spoiled by the weather here, I do enjoy it. I adapted to the cold in Japan in December and I thought: haha, when I go home, everyone's going to feel "super cold" but I'm going to feel fine! But that didn't happen and when it gets colder, I'm going to suffer with everyone else. =P

Thank you for reading! See you later! =)

Products I regret buying =(

Hi guys!

Today I am talking about a couple of products I regret buying =/, oh well things happen. But it's okay, that's why I'm here to tell you about them!

The Face Shop's Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam
This sells on Amazon for about $1, but you have to pay for shipping which is around $7. It contains 150mL of product.
This facial cleanser is said to be for all skin types. It works into a foamy lather and is said to hydrate and brighten the skin after cleansing.

What do I think of this product?
I heard a lot about this product online and I decided to try it. The cleanser did not damage or irritate my skin or the sensitive areas of my skin. It did foam up a lot into a rich lather and is a very gentle cleanser.
My skin did feel well hydrated after using this product. I am not sure about brightening because I did not see much of a difference compared to before, when I did not use this product.
What made this product a miss for me was the fragrance. After cleansing and  washing off the foam, it does not leave the fragrance smell on my face. BUT, while washing my face, I felt that the fragrance was too strong for me. The smell is a mixture of sweet perfume and baby lotion, which is something I don't really like. But what really made me dislike the product was how strong it was while I was washing my face. It just was something that personally bothered me and that I could not deal with. If the fragrance was not as strong, I probably would not have minded.
I don't wash my face with this product just because the fragrance is too strong for me. I now use this product as a body wash so I won't waste it.

Do I recommend this product?
If you do not mind fragrances or like sweet smelling fragrances, then you may disregard my personal thoughts and I recommend this product to you. It is soft, gentle, foaming, and cleanses well while hydrating the skin.
However, if you don't like fragrances, or strong fragrances bother you or irritate your nose or give you headaches, I do not recommend this product.

Sasa's Sasatinnie 4D Hot Lash Mascara
Sasa's own brand, Sasatinnie, came out with this new mascara. It cost $16.50 on Sasa's website. I bought this in Taiwan for about the same price. It is said to be a clump-free volume-plumping formula.

What do I think of this product?
I recently have been looking for mascaras that curl my lashes up. I really don't like using eyelash curlers because they end up taking 1 or 2 lashes off my eyes and damaging the others over time.
The lady at the store told me that I did not need to use an eyelash curler for this specific mascara. She told me that this mascara was designed to curl the lashes with its special curling formula.
So I bought it and gave it a try.
Reality was that it did not do much curling for my lashes. at most, it lifted up the ends of my eyelashes slightly upward, which was not noticeable, and did not lift up eyelashes from the roots. Also, I tend to get smudging on the outer ends of my eyes because the main part of my eyelashes were still pointing down.
I tried all sorts of ways, such as not building up the mascara on the eyelashes, so I wouldn't weigh them down (so only going through the lashes 2 times at most). I used tissue to take off excess mascara from the wand. But nothing worked. I did not try using an eyelash curler because first I did not want to and second, that would defeat the purpose of this product.
Based on the fact that I was told that this mascara would curl my lashes without an eyelash curler, I did not thing that this mascara did that, and therefore failed its purpose.
Also, it does not really add much length or volume to my lashes, if so, then it lengthens just a little. It does make them black and does not clump which is good, but my eyelashes look pretty much the same after use.

Do I recommend this product?
If you are looking for a mascara that lifts up and curls your lashes without using an eyelash curler, I do not recommend this mascara, doesn't really do anything.
As for those who do use an eyelash curler, I cannot say because I have not used an eyelash curler for this product, so I don't know how well it works. But I can tell you that the look it will give you is not very dramatic, since it does not add much volume or length.

So I hope this review was helpful to you! Feel free to write any comments or questions in the comment box below! Thank you for reading and I will see you soon! ^o^

Outfit of the Day! ^_^

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all had a good weekend!

Here's a video of what I wore out today!
Please watch in HD, thank you.

I hope you liked the video =)

This is a soft and sweet look that looks cute and feels comfortable ~<3

I know it is winter and freezing cold in at least half of the world, but here in southern California it is still quite sunny and warm. It usually is not this warm in January but I guess it's gonna be a warm winter this year!
While many of you can't wear something like this now, I hope this gives you good ideas for spring outfits!

The top I got from a friend who didn't want it anymore. I wore a nude cami underneath it because it is quite sheer.
The skort I bought in Japan! Yes, skort, it is actually shorts sewn to look like a skirt! It is a beautiful pastel mint green color and one of my favorites!
The booties you have seen before!

I hope you liked my outfit! Thanks for watching/reading! =)

Outfit of the Day!

Hi Everyone!

Here a video on what I wore today:

Please watch in HD! Thank you!

I know you have seen this sweater in my last "outfit of the day" video, but I wanted to show a different look with the same top and I also felt that this one looks better than the other one. A better color combination to be more specific.

The Hollister skirt I did not buy it at full price (who the hell would?), and I got it in the clearance section for about $14! The skirt is definitely on the shorter side and a bit see through, so I would recommend wearing tights, leggings, or underskirt shorts with it.

The boots I bought at Yesstyle for $30. This pair is quite decent and sturdy for the price. However the sizing was a bit off, so they are a little loose on me. I do suggest going 1 or 1/2 size down from your regular shoe size. Also, if you tend to have bigger calves, I don't recommend buying this, b/c I have rather largish muscular calves and they fit snugly with the boots, but the boots were a little too big for my feet. Which means that if I bought it at the size where the boot fit my foot, it would not fit my calves and would not zip up all the way. So please keep that in mind.

I hope you liked the video! I will see you later! =)

Review on Oshima Tsubaki Camellia Hair Care Oil

Hi Everyone!

Today I am reviewing the Oshima Tsubaki Camellia Hair Care Oil
This product can be found online at Amazon for $18.40 with prime shipping and contains 60mL or 2 oz. of product.
It is said that this product is 100% natural, made from the Tsubaki, or Camellia flower and has oleic acids that are extremely compatible with our own skin.
DirectionsMassage a few drops into damp clean hair ends to nourish dry hair, split ends, and dull strands. Style as usual.

What do I think of this product?
I bought this product about 5 months ago, but I did not use it during the summer because the summer heat makes my hair more oily than normal and I didn't want to put it in my hair at the time.
I started using this when the weather got colder and drier.
This product is great for re-hydrating dry hair and protecting it from dry weather. It makes my hair very soft, smooth and shiny! I also think that it helps strengthen my hair, especially the more brittle ends. Also this product does not irritate my skin and is fragrance free!
A little goes a long way, and I mean it! This is a very intense oil for hair care, a few drops is definitely enough for the lower third of my hair.
I do follow the directions to put it into damp clean hair, because it protects my hair from the heat when I am blow drying it. However this does work well in clean dry hair too! Just make sure to start off with very small amounts and spread it well by brushing it out.
For the best even overall application, put a few drops into the palm of your hand, rub your hands together to spread the product all of your hands. Then massage and comb your hands through the lower part of your hair. Finally use a brush to brush your hair, starting at the ends and gradually brushing higher. This way you spread the product in your hair better and most of the oil is kept at the ends of the hair, where hair is the oldest, driest, and most damaged.
At most, put the oil in the lower half of your hair, and only near the ends if you have shorter hair that is closer to your face. You do not want the oils to stick onto your face and make your face oily and sticky.
The only problem that some people may have with this product is that you do need to use your hands to apply, and because the oil is so strong, it is a bit difficult to wash the oil off your hands. I personally don't mind because I wear disposable latex gloves whenever I use this product, so after application, I'll just throw away the gloves.

Do I recommend this product?
If you don't mind the application process (which may take some time or need of washing oil off your hands), then I recommend this product! Just please remember to start off with very little product. This is not like most oils and serums for the hair, a little is enough for a lot of hair!
I can use a quarter size of l'occitane hair oil, no problem, and it makes my hair soft, and shiny. But if I use the same amount or even half that amount with the Tsubaki hair oil, my hair will become a greasy mess!
Because you use so little product, this oil will last you a very long time! And I find it pretty affordable for the amount.

I hope this review was helpful to you! Feel free to write any questions or comments in the comment box below! Thank you for reading! I will see you later! =)

Review on E.L.F. Brightening Eye Color in "Butternut" =)

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back to school for the college people! =D

Today I am reviewing the E.L.F. eyeshadow palette: Brightening Eye Color in "Butternut"
This product can be found online at the E.L.F. store or maybe in Target. It cost $1.

What do I think of this product?
So, I bought this product 6 months ago, and I forgot to review it. =P
But I love this product! It is very inexpensive and the quality is very good! Especially for the price!
There are 4 colors which are all shimmery. The two lighter colors have a bit more shimmer than the 2 darker brown colors, but they all have shimmer. When applied, the shimmer can be seen but it is not a super bright and crazy shimmer, but it is definitely there.
All of the eyeshadows are well pigmented, smooth and easy to apply, and easy to blend. It is also buildable.
The formula does not irritate or redden the skin around my eyes.
With a primer (I always use an eyeshadow primer no matter what, so I can't testify how this is without a primer), it is very long lasting and only creases at the end of the day!
I love the natural peach and brown tones of this palette. It is great for everyday use and can be darkened with the brown colors for a more "night" look.
The case is very small and compact, great for transportation for on the go, in the purse, or traveling.
About the durability of the packaging, I cannot say, since I usually pack my stuff snug, and with no space to move around, this won't break for me.

Here are a few swatches: (from lightest to darkest shade)

Do I recommend this product?
I definitely recommend this product to anyone! For the ridiculously cheap price the quality is great! It is well pigmented, easy to blend and build up, and long lasting! This is an excellent product especially if you are new to makeup or if you want something cheap and small to use and carry around, and if it breaks or gets lost, it is monetarily not too much of a loss for you! Also good if you want to use makeup but aren't too into it and just looking for something that does the job.
The only drawback to some people would be the shimmer in the product. I personally would be very happy if one of the brown colors could be matte. Having them all be shimmery, is a bit much if you use both the light and dark colors. Usually dark colors are put in the crease or the outer "v" of the eye, and they are usually matte to create depth while shimmers are used to bring things forward and make it more 3D.
Using the brown shimmer colors in the crease or outer "v" of the eyes, may make it not as 3D or not give as much depth as matte shades would, but will still work well enough.
Therefore, if you are not a shimmer fan, then this product may not be for you. I will say that the shimmer in the darker brown colors are not as strong as the two lighter colors. The shimmer is noticeable but not super flashy or strong.

So I hope that this review was helpful to you! Feel free to write any questions or comments in the comment box below! Thank you for reading and I will see you later! ^_^

Sasa Haul and Review! =)

Hi Everyone!

I had a small Sasa Haul that I bought 4 months ago actually....but it took time to use the products!

I don't remember what number this Sasa Haul is so I'll just name it the way it is =P

This is what I bought:
-Kai Hair Pins L (long)
-Essential Nuance Airy Ultra Honey Hair Mask
-Essential Rich Premier Ultra Honey Hair Mask
-My Beauty Diary Dark Circles Intensive Care Eye Mask

The Kai Hair Pins and Essential Rich Premier Ultra Honey Hair Mask I have bought and reviewed before, so they are hyperlinked for you to read.

Essential Nuance Airy Ultra Honey Hair Mask
This product can be bought online on Sasa for $9.40. It contains 200mL of product. This product is supposed to prove intense hydration, strengthening, and softening to hair as well as leaving the hair feeling light and airy. It is supposed to give all moisturizing benefits for hair without weighing it down.

What do I think of this product?
I bought this product to compare it to the Essential Rich Premier Hair Mask to see if there was a different. The Nuance Airy is supposed to maintain the lightness of the hair while giving essentially the same benefits as the Rich Premier, but not weighing the hair down with heavy products.
I have finished the contain in a month. I tend to use hair masks more often during the winter since the cold and dry weather is more damaging to my hair.
The result is that I found no difference compared to the Rich Premier version. They both produce the same results for me, making my hair very soft and smooth as well as giving a lot of hydration and protection to the hair, which is good =)
But the Nuance Airy does not make my hair feel more light-weight than the Rich Premier. So in that aspect, it did not live up to what it said. But keep in mind that my hair is quite long, and perhaps because my hair is so long, that its own weight is enough to pull down my hair and nothing can keep it that light and lifted. =P

Do I recommend this product?
Despite the fact that it did not make my hair more light-weight, I recommend this product. It still has great benefits for the hair. It makes the hair really soft and silky and helps moisturize the hair.
I recommend both hair masks, they are both very good!

My Beauty Diary Dark Circles Intensive Care Eye Mask
This product contains 5 sets of eyemasks for $8.50 online at Sasa. It is said to rehydrate the skin around the eyes and get rid of dark circles. It is also said to brighten the eye area.

What do I think of this product?
The masks are 2 paper sheets soaked with serum. The formula does not irritate or redden the skin around my eyes.
I found that this eye mask is great for de-puffying puffy eyes! If you rub your eyes too much, or if you're eyes are swollen from other irritation or crying, this will de-puff your eyes right away! It also has a cooling effect that will comfort your eyes if they are red and hot from being puffy. Also, it does a great job of hydrating the skin around my eyes and brightens them a little.
However, this eye mask does not work that well for my dark circles. That does not concern me too much, since I believe that the only way to cure dark circles is to just get plenty of sleep.

Do I recommend this product?
If you want to get rid of puffy eyes or if you want more hydration around your eyes, then I recommend this product! This reduces puffy eyes very quickly and easily!
Just a warning, I don't advise using eye masks if you have puffy eyes from: pink eye, burns, or an allergic reaction. If you have any of those, just use a cool wet towel on your eyes! Please remember than skincare products are not medical products, and may contain things that could make your skin worse. If you have any puffiness from things such as pink eye, burns, or allergic reactions please go see a doctor or dermatologist.

So I hope this post was helpful to you! Feel free to write any questions or comments in the comment box below! Thank you for reading!
I will see you soon! =)

Review on Neutrogena Extra Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads!

Hi Everyone!

Happy New Year!
I hope you guys had fun! I had an 8hr hospital shift till 11pm on the 31st...and then woke up at 6:30am on the 1st to go work in another hospital.....Q_Q.. XP haha, but that's okay, I can say I'm being productive or something.

Today I am reviewing on Neutrogena's Extra Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads
This product costs about $7. You can find it at any drugstore or at places like Target or Ulta.
It contains 30 pads soaked with eye makeup remover solution.

What do I think of this product?
As you guys know, I went to Taiwan and Japan during winter break and I wanted to use makeup remover pads and not bring liquids around because for some reason, everytime I bring a liquid eye makeup remover, it leaks....=(
Anyway, I tried a couple of cheaper alternatives (2 of them), but they did not work for me. =/
So I gave in and bought the Neutrogena brand, but it was worth it. =)
The material of these pads are nice and soft. The texture does not irritate my skin.
The cleansing solution does not irritate my eyes and does not irritate my skin, so yay! It also leaves no oily residue on my eyes! The makeup remover solution works very well, and removed all of my makeup, including waterproof makeup.
The pads are well sized, they are quite large (6.5cm in diameter), and I do have a little extra space after use, but this doesn't bother me. Also the container does not leak any solution at all in all 4 flights and all the traveling in between, so that's a plus!
The only problem that I found, is that personally I feel that the pads do not have much eye makeup remover solution on one side of each pad. One side has less cleansing solution than the other. I'm not sure if this was part of the product design, to use the wetter side first and then wipe with the drier side. But if it was, I'm sure they would have advertised that or put it in the directions on the container. But it doesn't say anything about that...
Maybe I just happened to get a container with drier pads than normal.
I'm not asking for very soaked pads because then the solution would drip down my face as I was cleaning the makeup, which would be messy. But because one side was drier than the other, it was hard to get the makeup off with that side of the pad. Luckily the other side has enough solution, so I would just use the other side. =P
Besides that, I really like these pads and I would use them again! The dryness on one side of each pad, doesn't bother me as much as it seems, I just found it kind of weird that it was that way. XP

Do I recommend this product?
If you are traveling and looking for good eye makeup remover pads that remove makeup well and do not irritate your skin or eyes, I recommend this product! It may be pricer than others, but I think it is worth the price!

Thank you for reading this post! I hope that it helped you!
Feel free to write any questions or comments in the comment box below!
See you later! =)
