Hi Everybody!
Today is a sad day. =( I will be talking about products that did not work for me or that I did not like. But I share them with you so you can make a better decision for yourself. =)
Here are the products I regret buying:
-The Face Shop Black Sugar and Honey facial cleanser scrub
- Sasa's Sasatinnie's 4 Shadow Compact
- B & C TSURURI Pore Cleansing Scrub
The Face Shop Black Sugar and Honey facial cleanser scrub
This product is said to be a exfoliating cleanser that uses natural products such as honey and sugar to scrub off dead skin with the sugar and sooth the skin with honey.
My experience:
This product smells amazing! If you like honey haha, which I do. I really loved the smell of honey and it is a little strong, but I don't mind it.The formula is very thick and viscous, kind of hard to squeeze it out of the bottle, needs some effort.
I had a bad experience with this product because the exfoliating scrub made from sugar was very very rough on my skin! I tried to massage it as gently as possible on my face, but it still felt very rough and made my skin a little red and irritated. So after a few tries, I just stopped. =/
I do have sensitive skin though, so perhaps I should have thought about this product more before buying it. But I was thinking that sugar was a natural ingredient and that it would be good for me. Turned out to be too rough and scratchy on my face.
I currently use this as a body scrub, which is a great use, because the skin on my body is thicker and less sensitive than my face and it is a nice body scrub for me! At least I did not waste this product and used it for something else, haha.
Sasa's Sasatinni's 4 Shadow Compact in 01 "Fusion Caramel" and 04 "Twinkle Black"
This is from Sasa's own makeup line, Sasatinnie. I bought them in the Sasa store in Taiwan.
My experience:
I was initially draw to these eyeshadows because they looked so pretty and the swatches were beautiful. The eyeshadows felt very smooth, were easy to apply and blended easily.
However, the big problem that I have with these compacts is that they are all very very shimmery. They don't have large sparkles or shimmers, and the shimmery texture is on the smoother more pearl side. However, they are still extremely shimmery and reflect a lot of light.
I'm not sure if it is because I'm getting older (but I'm only 23) or my tastes have just changed but I don't like shimmer all over my eye. I need a matte shade in my crease or outer corner. Even a light wash of shimmer all over my lid (which is something I used to do a lot when I was 18), is something I am not that into anymore.
I think this was more of a preference rather than a badly made product. If you like shimmery colors, then these would probably be great for you! I guess I just changed. =P
B & C TSURURI Pore Cleansing Scrub
This product is said to:
"B & C TSURURI Ghassoul Scrub provides thorough cleaning for pores with Morocco Ghassoul mineral clay and Andes salt from South America. It has the benefit of facial scrub. Morocco Ghassoul mineral clay enhances the adsorbing power of the foam created to take out the acnes and dirt deep inside pores; Andes salt, rich in minerals, leaves skin smooth and clean. The thick foam created contains small granules of salt. It can melt make-up and impurities for deep cleansing.
It is formulated with 100% botanical cleansing ingredients. It blends natural essence oils of lavender, rosemary, chamomile, sage, lemon grass and cypress. It delivers a fresh and soothing fragrance. "
Directions:
【For makeup removal and cleansing face】
Directly apply a proper amount to wet face and massage in a circular motion. Then rinse off.
【For cleansing in the morning】
Take a proper amount and add water to create lather. Massage over wet face in a circular motion. Then rinse off.
My experience:
So, I like the smell of this cleanser, it smells like guava fruit, a clean and refreshing smell.
However, in terms of functionality, it just didn't work for me.
First of all, it did not lather into a foam, it stayed in a more gel form. And there were very little Andes salts in the cleanser. Everytime I washed my face, I could probably only feel a few grains of salt on my face.
I used this as a cleanser and not a makeup remover (so I removed my makeup before using this product). This cleanser has exothermic properties, it heats up when water is added to it. This is to relax and open pores to help get rid of oil and dirt inside the pores. I tried it in both ways and I found that adding water to it before massaging over my face makes it heat up even more.
However, the heat is still quite mild and not as intense as "The Body Shop" Warming Mineral Mask.
And finally, after using it until it was done, at least 2 weeks, I saw no significant result or change in my pores. My pores were still the same size and same amount and I still had whiteheads and some blackheads in them. Therefore, this product did not do anything for me. =( Sad I know.
So these were the products that I regret buying. As you may probably tell, I was really looking forward to the Tsururi Ghassoul Scrub the most, which did not work for me. =(
I hope that reviewing these product helped you!

Products I regret buying =(
Hi guys!
Today I am talking about a couple of products I regret buying =/, oh well things happen. But it's okay, that's why I'm here to tell you about them!
The Face Shop's Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam
This sells on Amazon for about $1, but you have to pay for shipping which is around $7. It contains 150mL of product.
This facial cleanser is said to be for all skin types. It works into a foamy lather and is said to hydrate and brighten the skin after cleansing.
What do I think of this product?
I heard a lot about this product online and I decided to try it. The cleanser did not damage or irritate my skin or the sensitive areas of my skin. It did foam up a lot into a rich lather and is a very gentle cleanser.
My skin did feel well hydrated after using this product. I am not sure about brightening because I did not see much of a difference compared to before, when I did not use this product.
What made this product a miss for me was the fragrance. After cleansing and washing off the foam, it does not leave the fragrance smell on my face. BUT, while washing my face, I felt that the fragrance was too strong for me. The smell is a mixture of sweet perfume and baby lotion, which is something I don't really like. But what really made me dislike the product was how strong it was while I was washing my face. It just was something that personally bothered me and that I could not deal with. If the fragrance was not as strong, I probably would not have minded.
I don't wash my face with this product just because the fragrance is too strong for me. I now use this product as a body wash so I won't waste it.
Do I recommend this product?
If you do not mind fragrances or like sweet smelling fragrances, then you may disregard my personal thoughts and I recommend this product to you. It is soft, gentle, foaming, and cleanses well while hydrating the skin.
However, if you don't like fragrances, or strong fragrances bother you or irritate your nose or give you headaches, I do not recommend this product.
Sasa's Sasatinnie 4D Hot Lash Mascara
Sasa's own brand, Sasatinnie, came out with this new mascara. It cost $16.50 on Sasa's website. I bought this in Taiwan for about the same price. It is said to be a clump-free volume-plumping formula.
What do I think of this product?
I recently have been looking for mascaras that curl my lashes up. I really don't like using eyelash curlers because they end up taking 1 or 2 lashes off my eyes and damaging the others over time.
The lady at the store told me that I did not need to use an eyelash curler for this specific mascara. She told me that this mascara was designed to curl the lashes with its special curling formula.
So I bought it and gave it a try.
Reality was that it did not do much curling for my lashes. at most, it lifted up the ends of my eyelashes slightly upward, which was not noticeable, and did not lift up eyelashes from the roots. Also, I tend to get smudging on the outer ends of my eyes because the main part of my eyelashes were still pointing down.
I tried all sorts of ways, such as not building up the mascara on the eyelashes, so I wouldn't weigh them down (so only going through the lashes 2 times at most). I used tissue to take off excess mascara from the wand. But nothing worked. I did not try using an eyelash curler because first I did not want to and second, that would defeat the purpose of this product.
Based on the fact that I was told that this mascara would curl my lashes without an eyelash curler, I did not thing that this mascara did that, and therefore failed its purpose.
Also, it does not really add much length or volume to my lashes, if so, then it lengthens just a little. It does make them black and does not clump which is good, but my eyelashes look pretty much the same after use.
Do I recommend this product?
If you are looking for a mascara that lifts up and curls your lashes without using an eyelash curler, I do not recommend this mascara, doesn't really do anything.
As for those who do use an eyelash curler, I cannot say because I have not used an eyelash curler for this product, so I don't know how well it works. But I can tell you that the look it will give you is not very dramatic, since it does not add much volume or length.
So I hope this review was helpful to you! Feel free to write any comments or questions in the comment box below! Thank you for reading and I will see you soon! ^o^

Products I Regret Buying....=(
Hi Everyone!
I hope your week went well. =) In southern California, the afternoons have been hot! But the mornings and evenings get pretty chilly, so don't be fooled and stay warm in the cold hours! (so you won't get sick, b/c I know a lot of people are)
I'm sorry for not posting as often. I am on my last quarter of classes and it has been a while since I have taken a full load of classes, with two hospital shifts a week, and my lab job. =P
Today I am reviewing a few products that I regret buying. =( Sadly.
Please keep in mind that these are products that did not work well for me, they may fair better with other people, but these are just my personal thoughts. =)
Almay Oil Free gentle eye makeup remover pads
I am so glad that I decided to buy the mini travel-size version of these because this product hurts my eyes! The product did remove my makeup but the solution made my eyes sting and burn. X(
I will not repurchase this product and I don't want to try any more Almay makeup removing products.
BH Custom Cosmetic Palette
A very long time ago, Hollyannaree (from Youtube) did an eyeshadow look that I really liked and she used a BH cosmetic palette. I really liked the look so I bought the exact same eyeshadows with a custom palette.
The palette contains 6 eyeshadows(bought individually):
Cool Matte BHCM15: a light matte turquoise
Cool Shimmer BHCS08: a very shimmery purple
Metallic Shimmer BHMS03: a very shimmery gunmetal gray
Cool Matte BHCM13: a matte teal
Cool Matte BHCM16: a light-medium matte purple
Metallic Matte BHMM03: a very dark matte gray
Despite the low and very affordable price, I do not think these are well pigmented eyeshadows. The product is on the powdery/chalky side and the colors are not very pigmented. They look very washed out and it is difficult to build up pigmentation. Maybe they are good for overall washes of color, but some of them are very bright colors, which I would not consider using as an overall lid color.
However, the palette itself I think works well. It is small, light, portable, and decently sturdy. The eyeshadow pots fit in it well and they are magnetic. I have not dropped it yet (and I don't plan to) so I can't tell how "fall-proof it is". But I do like it and it comes with a mirror which is handy. The only problem with the palette is that when I take the pots out, I tend to get eyeshadow on my fingers or under my nails. I do try to be careful and slow, but it still happens. I'm not sure if it is the design of the grooves or I just suck at taking out magnetic eyeshadow pots. =P
So, the eyeshadows I have with the palette are not good and I am hesitant to buy other eyeshadows from BH cosmetics for this palette, due to my previous bad experience with them. =(
NYX eyeshadow base in Pearl
I have bought and tried this product twice. I really like the light shimmery finish of the base/primer. However, the base does not work well for me. I have pretty oily eyelids and after using this eyeshadow primer, my eyeshadow will still crease after 2-3 hours of wear.
So, this product did not work for me. Perhaps if your eyelids are drier and less oily than mine, they will work well. But I will not be repurchasing this product again.
Innisfree Creamy Dual Eyeshadow stick in Peach & Gold
Innisfree is a well known and popular Korean makeup brand. I bought this on Yesstyle for $15 I believe.
So I really wanted to love this product. I was excited to try an Innisfree product and I thought that this dual cream shadow stick would be handy for me to use when traveling or in my purse (on the go).
The design and packaging is very well done. The packaging is pretty with directions on how to apply onto the eyes, but it is in Korean so I can't read it . =P The eyeshadow stick is slim and has a clean look. It has some weight to it and the caps are the push and pull kind, but they are not too loose or too tight, just right.
The colors are beautiful. A soft shimmery gold shadow and peach shadow.
The cream shadows are very soft and creamy. They are easy to swatch on my hand, but take more effort on my eyes. I usually don't like to use a lot of pressure on my eyes, so I ended up applying the cream onto my fingers and using my fingers to apply the eyeshadows onto my eyes.
The problem about this eyeshadow for me is that it creases very easy. Even after swatching it onto my hand and letting it dry, it does not dry and is very easy to smear. Because I have oily eyelids, this product creases very easily within a couple hours and is not very long lasting. Unlike my Maybelline 24hr cream shadows, they do not dry, and will not dry.
So sadly, this eyeshadow cream stick does not work for me. I really wanted to like this and use this product a lot, but the creasing looks very bad. =(
So, these were the products that I regret buying, and probably could have saved some money ='(.
However, I hope that these reviews were helpful to you in your buying choices.
Thank you for reading and I will see you later!

Products I Regret Buying: Nailpolish
Hi guys!
So today is kind of an unhappy post. It's an unhappy post for me because I felt I wasted $14 on some nail polishes that were really bad and crappy.
So I just want to tell you guys to not buy these! =O Or you will be sad like me. =(
ROSE Nail Cocktail Kit
What do I think of this product?
So, I'm a pretty lazy person when it comes to nail art. I usually paint clear and don't have the skill or time to do really pretty things like designs or what not. But I saw this at Marukai for about $8 and it is a kit designed to give a shimmer gradient effect on one's nails. It has instructions on the back on how to apply it to give the gradient effect. So, I've been seeing it at the store for a while and it seems to be bought often, and I decided to try it. It looked pretty simple and cute.
Omg, I was so wrong. -___-. The blue nail polishes were very thick and sticky. It was hard to apply an even coat because the consistency was so viscous. And, the brush is of poor quality, a round brush (not flat) and it was difficult to use and control.
But the worst part was the drying process. These nail polishes cannot dry! They do not dry! The white one dried because I put a very thin coat of polish on my nails but because the blue nail polishes were so thick, they were like lumps on my nails and did not dry at all! It was such a pain! And also very difficult to remove with nail polish remover.
Here are a few pictures:
As you can see, only the clear white sparkle and the darkest blue shade can be seen. The middle blue color has almost no pigmentation at all, but just has blue sparkles. However, this does not create a gradient effect.
I'm not sure if you can see, but you can see how thick and uneven the blue nailpolish is on my nails and this was me trying my best to put the thinnest coat on as carefully as possible!
Omg, such a terrible mess. Because the nail polish could not dry, it just smeared everywhere! O_O
So, if you see this, please don't buy it! Total waste of your money!
Nail Color pa
What do I think of this product?
I've seen this at a lot of Japanese stores such as Marukai and Tokyo Lifestyle. And I have always wanted to try them, they look so cute and pretty! They usually cost around $6.
So, I really really really wanted to like this nail polish. But such a disaster. T_T
First of all, the smell. I usually don't mind nail polish smells, like all nail polishes will have it, so it's okay. However, this was ridiculously sharp smelling and strong! It made me cough! And not cough on purpose, or voluntarily. My throat literally constricted from the smell and coughed reactively to the smell. It was very very strong.
The next problem was again, drying. *sigh* The consistency is smooth and normal so I was able to apply a thin coat and it looked cute with heart and butterfly sparkles. But, darn it, this nail polish also could not dry properly! I waited for at least 10 minutes and they felt fine. So I put a topcoat on. Then later, when I touched something or when my nail rubbed against something, the nail polish just slid right off. -____- I even removed all the nail polish, washed and dried my hands, and reapplied the nail polish on bare nails (with no base coat) and the same thing happened. Honestly, very disappointing and frustrating.
Here are some pictures:
So, this is what it looks like when I applied it. Cute and nice looking.
But disaster struck like 20 minutes later, with everything sliding out of place! >.<
Really, sad and depressing. Just don't buy these things okay guys. =(
So, I hope this review was useful to you. I'm just annoyed because it's not like I can give this away to a person who doesn't mind and can work with nail polishes with small problems like uneven consistency or long drying time. Because these things just don't dry at all! gr! I'll just have to throw them away....
Anyway, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to write in the comment box below! Thank you for reading and I will see you later!

Products that I regret buying: Pur Minerals Gel Liner and Maybelline Tough as Taupe cream eyeshadow
Hey guys! I hope your summer is going well.
Me being a double major, not so much fun, but I think i've had my share of crazy partying and what not =P.
Anyway, today I will be talking about 2 products I regret buying:
1) pur minerals gel eyeliner
2) Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eyeshadow
Purminerals: Pur Intensity Gel Eyeliner (Carbon)
This can be bought at Sephora, online, and Ulta. I bought this gel eyeliner on their website for $17 and probably paid shipping. It contains 0.17 oz or 5 grams of product.
Why this product didn't work for me?
I read a lot of reviews on the eyeliner. How it was nice and creamy. How pigmented and dark it was. How it dried really well and worked for oily eyelids and that it didn't smear and smudge. So, I bought it. I've been looking for a good gel eyeliner for my oily lids so I decided to try it out.
Sadly, it was a disaster for the entire trip. =(
It is true that this eyeliner is very creamy and the Carbon Black color is very black. I had no problems with those features. I bought this during the winter quarter which means I used it during one of the driest seasons of the year. And within a couple hours, it smudged. And it smudged badly. Maybe I should show a picture, but in about 2 hours, I looked like a panda. I only lined my upper lashline and the lower lashline was completely covered in the stuff. It was really bad. It was as if it didn't dry at all...
I still tried for a bit. I thought that maybe I put on too much liner, like too thick, so I tried putting less and drawing a thinner line. It still smudged. =(
And then I was like okay, I will set it with black eyeshadow, maybe it'll work or last longer. Nope, still smudged like my eyes were crying black blood or something....
I always make sure that my moisturizers and eye creams are absorbed before putting on makeup so my makeup won't smear, so it has nothing to do with my skincare or other makeup routines.
After those tries, I pretty much stopped using it. I'm upset because of the cost of this gel liner, because I could have got something better with the same or less money....*sigh* anyway...
Do I recommend this product?
Nope, I don't recommend this product, especially if you have oily eyelids. If it works for you then, great, I'm glad it did. But for some reason it failed miserably with me. I really wanted it to work, but it just didn't. =(
Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eyeshadow (Tough as Taupe)
Why this product didn't work for me?
So I also read a lot of reviews and watched Youtube videos on this product. People said it was well pigmented, creamy, long lasting, and didn't form creases. I wanted something natural and so I bought Tough as Taupe. The majority of what people said about this cream shadow it true. It is nice and creamy, the application is fine, and it blends well. I have no problem with its longevity. It is long lasting, waterproof, and crease-resistant.
The problem I had was the color. Looking at swatches online, it looked like a decent, taupe color, not took dark or too light. However, this cream shadow was super light on me. I'm Asian and my skin is not that tanned but as an eyeliner, it looked like a light tan line on my lashline, which looks weird. On pictures too, it looks a lot darker than it really is. It is more of a light tan-gray color. Even when I took pictures of this, it still appears darker than it really is.
I bought this cream shadow to use as an eyeliner, but that clearly did not work out.
I may use this as a base for more neutral brown and gray eyeshadows. The thing is, I have a good eyeshadow primer, so I don't really have a need for an eyeshadow base. But if I want a really neutral eye and a strong colorful eyeliner or I need a long lasting base for a neutral look, I'd probably use this. But I won't buy it again, at least not this color.
So these was a couple of products that I regret buying. Please keep in mind, there were specific things that did not work well for me and that is why I don't like them and regret buying them.

Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eyeshadow (Tough as Taupe)
| (This is the best picture I could find that had the closest color similarity to what it actually looks like) |

So, as you can see, the pictures immediately above look darker than the one under the title. It is deceiving, the picture under the title is the correct color. I don't know why everytime I take a picture it turns out darker than it looks.
Also, the swatch, starting from the wide part of the swatch on the left, that is much closer to the actual color of the shadow, than the rest of swatch.
Do I recommend this product?
If you are looking for a good eyeshadow base or you have white/pale skin and you want a good overall lid color, then I think this product is works well. However, if you are looking for a more dark taupe color or if you are looking for a cream eyeliner, I don't recommend this product.
So these was a couple of products that I regret buying. Please keep in mind, there were specific things that did not work well for me and that is why I don't like them and regret buying them.
