Review on "Clean & Clear" Advantage oil absorbing cream cleanser! =D

I hope you guys had a great New Years celebration and are ready for the year 2013!

Today I will be reviewing the "Clean & Clear" Advantage Oil Absorbing Cream Cleanser!

This product costs about $7-8. You can find it at any drugstore or online. It contains 5 oz or 141 grams of product. It is supposed to have POWDERPARTICLES^™ technology that absorbs oil—even after you wash and leaves a soft, powdery-finish that helps control oil so your skin stays less shiny for the whole day. It contains 0.5% salicylic acid as an acne treatment.

What do I think of this product?
So I ran out of my regular Neutrogena sefdf cream cleanser and when I went to the store, they were sold out! =O But I needed a salicylic acid facial cleanser so I decided to pick this up instead.
And this turned out to be a fantastic choice! Currently, this is my favorite salicylic acid facial cleanser and I love using it!
First, I love the fact that this is a foaming cleanser! It does not say or tell us on the label that it is, but it foams up when I am using this to wash my face and I love foaming cleanser! To me, it makes me feel cleaner and that it works more effectively. Or maybe it just feels like it does something because it foams up. But I also enjoy the soft foaming texture as I wash my face.
This cleanser does have exfoliating beads, but they are the tiniest beads I have ever seen and felt! There are also not that much because this is not meant to be an exfoliating cleanser, which means it is more gentle on the skin.
Because this cleanser contains salicylic acid which makes skin sensitive to the sun, I only use it in the evenings before I go to bed. However, because of this, I cannot tell if it really controls the oil on my face during the day because I don't use it during the day. =P However, when I wake up in the morning, my face does not feel as oily as it used to and I have read reviews saying that it was pretty good in controlling oil on the face.
This is my current favorite acne facial cleanser with salicylic acid that I like to use at night! It is affordable, easy to find, and works great for me! =)

As you can see, it is quite a soft and creamy cleanser.

The exfoliating bead is super super tiny, I'm not sure if you guys can see it! It took me a bit of time to find it, but I can definitely feel it  when I was rubbing my hand and washing my face.

Do I recommend this product?
If you want something to help prevent acne or calm down red and inflamed acne I recommend this product! It does have salicylic acid so would rather use it in the evening (since salicylic acid makes the skin sensitive to the sun and you are more likely to get hyperpigmentation from acne and acne scars). But if you use it in the morning, it should be okay as long as you put on sunscreen afterwards.
This cleanser is gentle, foams up into a soft lather and the exfoliating beads do not irritate or damage the skin.
Also, this is an affordable easy to find product, which is something great to try without putting too much effort to find it or spending too much money at once. XP

Review on Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Cleansing Pads

Hi Everyone! I just finished a midterm tonight! So glad I got that over with, I felt like I was dying....-___- But, now to talk about something much better than cognitive psychology!!! XD

Today I will be reviewing the Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Cleansing Pads:

This can be bought at any drugstore for about $6-$8. You can find it easily online. There are 28 self-foaming dual-texture pads that are ~8.5cm in diameter. The dual-texture means that one side has a textured side for exfoliation and the other side is smooth. The active ingredient is salicylic acid (0.5%) used for acne treatment and prevention. It says it has soy extracts so for people allergic to soy beware! It is soap free, oil free, hypoalergneic, noncomedogenic, and alcohol free. It says it is gentle enough for everyday use and even for sensitive skin.

First Impression
When I first bought this, I was like, dang, each pad is huge! Like I could use half of it for my entire face! Too bad I can't reuse them or something....I guess I could cut them, but that would be too messy =P. And each pad has a lot of product, it is soaked in product so they are definitely not dry at all! Also, I thought the container was kind of bulking...like there is plenty of space around the pads and above the pads, they didn't have to make it that big and annoying...but I guess they wanted to make it look like it had more product or what not (like air in potato chip bags! grrr).
Besides that haha, when I first used it, I thought that the exfoliator side was a big harsh/rough on my skin. However, as soon as I adjusted the pressure, I really liked it! It foams up well, and it's convenient because no product is running down my face or my arms unlike when I use a cream cleanser. Also, it does not sting or irritate my sensitive dry skin, and I usually use the smooth side for that skin area.

What do I think of it now?
I've been using this product for over a month now and I really like it! =) When I'm in a hurry and I  have acne, this is a great product to use because it's so mess free. I can switch sides depending if I need exfoliation or not and the smooth side feels really nice! My skin doesn't feel dry or tight after use and I can actually see the pad take off dirt and stuff because the pad changes to like a light brown/tan color...ewwww, yeah I know. But hey! It works! =P My face becomes much cleaner looking after use. Also, despite it's bulkiness it is safer to carry on trips because if a bottle explodes from pressure or what not, stuff gets everywhere which is a pain, but it won't happen to this! So, I think this is really good for traveling.
I also think it is good for acne treatment prevention, and I have no problem using this everyday since the amount of salicylic acid is low, it would be a good daily treatment. I have seen less tiny acne pop up on my face.
However, one thing I have to be careful is to not over exfoliate and not rub too hard. I still have to be very gentle on my skin, otherwise it can get red and unhappy =/, but as long as I'm careful it works well.

Do I recommend this product?
Yep! I recommend this product! =) If you would like a light acne treatment and you would like to cleans and exfoliate your skin all at once, this is great for daily use or if you are in a hurry. As long as you are careful and gentle during exfoliation, then you should be fine!
I especially like it because it does not irritate my sensitive skin and it's affordable! If your sensitive skin get's irritated, try the smooth side, it should work better. Or if your skin still does not like it, then don't use it everyday, use it about every other day or every two days.

Yay! I really liked these pads and I wanted to do a review on them ASAP! But I had to hold myself back and use them for a month before I was sure that it was a good product!

Review on the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash

Today I will be reviewing the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash:

This a drugstore brand that can be found anywhere and it is about $7 for about 6 fluid oz or 177mL. You can buy it in different sizes and amounts. It is said to be non-comedogenic and oil-free. It's active ingredient is salicylic acid.

What do I think of this product?
I don't like this product. I'll just say that first. I used this product for at least 2 years in high school and it did nothing for me. I didn't really see a reduction in acne or much treatment of acne at all.
The consistency is very fluid-like, reminds me of liquid soap.
Obviously it's been a while since I've used it, probably around 5 years, but I don't think the ingredients have changed. I switched out of it a long time ago because it does not work for me.

Do I recommend this product?
Different skin and different acne need different treatments. While it did not work for me, I know it has worked for some people based on reviews that I have read. I kind of don't recommend it, but it is worth a shot in a way because it may just work for you.

Yeah, very short review guys, sorry =(. I know it doesn't seem very detailed or thorough enough but it has been years since I've used this product and this review is based on my experience and what I remember from it. Though if it does work for you then great =), I'm glad it did!

Review on Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Cream Cleanser

Hey guys!
So since I talked about Neutrogena's foaming scrub, I guess I'll talk about the cream cleanser in the same pink grapefruit line!

This is Neutrogena's Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Cream Cleanser:

This product is 6 fluid oz or 177mL. It is a drugstore cleanser that can be found anywhere easily for about $7-9 and online as well.
It's active acne treatment is 2% salicylic acne.
It is said to have Vitamin C, be oil-free, clear breakouts and eliminates oil and dirt.

What do I think of this product?
So, I started using this product at the same time as my grapefruit acne scrub, so I have been using this for more than 3 years. And I like it! =) It doesn't irritate my skin and it clears breakouts well. It has a nice creamy consistency which is soft on my skin and does not cause redness or problems on my sensitive skin areas. It causes less dryness than the scrub version. I will use this on my whole face to help prevent breakouts, get rid of blackheads and I like to use this in the mornings because it is not as harsh. (exfoliation/any kind of cleanser or thing w/ exfoliating properties should be used in the evenings because when you sleep your skin is growing and repairing, not being exposed to the outside world)
And yes, I still use this product today! Especially when my period comes around, I use it everyday to help with menstrual hormone related acne. This product is not foaming or anything like that, it is a cream that I massage my face with and wash off.

Do I recommend this product?
I do think this effective for acne in general and I recommend it to all skin types! It is creamy and soft in texture which definitely doesn't hurt my sensitive skin physically and chemically I don't get any irritation or redness. It helps clear my acne  and I like it! =)
Please keep in mind that I have minor adult acne and menstrual hormone acne, and it seems to treat this well. For more information on acne, please go to my post on talking about acne or a quicker version in "My Skin Story".

Rather quick review I must say. But there isn't much to say when I think the product works well!
