Outfit of the Day! =)

Hi Everyone!

This was just something cute and casual I decided to wear today.

It's nothing special, I just usually don't wear tights so I dunno, I thought it would be nice to show you guys =P.

Super easy look, you don't need to go out and buy clothes for this. I'm sure everyone has something similar.

Please enjoy the video! Thank you!

Review on Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Cream Eyeshadow in "Too Cool"

Hi Everyone!

Zomg, I had a lab report due yesterday and an immunology quiz today! Can you believe, it is the end of February?! I am so excited for spring, the weather has been getting so much sunnier and warmer in SD and I can't wait to wear shorts, skirts, and other cute stuff! XP

Today I am going to review on the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Cream Eyeshadow
 in "Too Cool"

This product costs about $7-10 and can be bought online, at most drugstores (Walgreens, CVS, Ralphs, etc.), and at Ulta. It contains 0.14 oz or 4 grams of product.

What do I think about this product?
So after trying and reviewing the color tattoos: Bold Gold and Bad to the Bronze, I decided to buy another popular cream shadow called "Too Cool". I have read many good reviews on the formula and versatility of this product and was looking forward to using it as part of my daily makeup routine.
The color is a pearly shimmery white color. It is a very beautiful color that is great for highlighting or brightening up the eyes.
The formula is creamy, light and smooth. It is easy to apply and blend. With a thin layer all over the eye, it can brighten up the eyes and give a natural effect.
However, this cream shadow creases pretty easily for me. I have tried many times and I still get the same result of creasing soon after I apply this shadow. I get creasing about 3-4 hours after applying this product and this does not change no matter how little product I use or how well I blend it. When I do wear it, I must apply as little product as possible so to make my creasing less visible, therefore, I cannot build up on product or pigmentation.
My eyelids are pretty oily, which could be the reason why this product creases easily on me, however, I was expecting it not to crease because of my previous experience with the other 2 cream color tattoos I mentioned earlier. So I am a bit sad that this cream shadow did not work for me as well as Bold Gold and Bad to the Bronze, but it could also be because that formula does not stay on my eyelids that well.
Because this product creases so easily for me, I do not use it and I will probably give this product away to a friend. I could use it to highlight the inner corners of my eyes, but I already have my shimmery NYX jumbo eye pencils that work very well and are easier to use.

Here is a swatch of the color:

As you can see, it is a while pearly/shimmery color. Very pretty. It not very opaque but if you build up more layers, I'm sure you can make it more white/opaque. Just keep in mind that the more product you put on, the more likely it will crease!

Do I recommend this product?
Because this is a very popular product with many positive reviews I do recommend this product. It is definitely worth a shot and I am sure it works well on most people. It is a beautiful color that can be used alone, as an eyeshadow base, highlighting the inner corners of the eyes, or highlighting the ball of your eyelids for a brightening effect. And it is smooth and blends well. However, please keep in mind, if you do have oily eyelids, this product may not work as well for you and it could crease.

So I hope this review was helpful to you. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to write in the comment box below! Thank you for reading and I will talk to you later!

Review on "The Body Shop" Satsuma Shimmer Born Lippy

Hi Everybody!

I hope you had a good 3 day weekend! I'm a bit late in saying that, but I hope you had a good time regardless! XP

Today I am reviewing on "The Body Shop" Satsuma Shimmer Born Lippy
This product costs $6 and contains 9g, 10mL, or 0.3 oz of product. You can buy this online or at The Body Shop store. I'm sure there are little promotions that sell like 2 of these for $10 at the store, so you can take a look.

What do I think of this product?
This was something I kind of wanted to try for fun. I'm more than halfway done on my EOS lip balm and I just wanted to look around for something new.
This lip balm is in a little pot and has a very nice citrus/orange smell to it. However, if you accidentally lick it or eat it, it doesn't taste good, just a chapstick taste. =P While the lip balm itself does have color, it does not added a lot of color to the lips, if that is what you are looking for. It pretty much is like a clear lip balm.
It does have a bit of shimmer in it, which I don't mind. It is not a crazy shimmer, so it won't make your lips look weird. And it does make my lips look kind of cute and pouty without the weird overly shiny look like some lip products.
However, I need a lot of product to make my lips hydrated and it does not last very long, which means I have to reapply. For my EOS lip balm, two swipes on my lower lip is enough for me to spread it out and make my lips really soft and hydrated. However, I need to take a small chunk of the satsuma born lippy to make my lips feel just as hydrated. Also, it does have a slightly sticky texture and feeling on my lips that reminds me of lipgloss, which I don't like.
Another issue I have with this is that I need to dip my fingers in, take out product, and apply onto my lips, which leaves my fingers with residual sticky product on them. That is kind of annoying to always have to wipe my fingers clean and it is not really hygienic unless I wash my hands every single time before I use this!
Hmm, I think this lip balm is okay, like it works, but I would not buy it again.

Do I recommended this product?
Honestly, I think that you can find a better lip balm with a lower cost, so no, I do not recommend this product. If you like to buy and collect these things for fun, I guess maybe =P, but in terms of function and convenience you can definitely find something better!

So, I hope this review was helpful to you. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to write in the comment box below! Thank you for reading and have a great day! (or night, if you're on the other side of the world haha) XD

Outfit of the Day! =D

Hi Everyone!

I wore this a couple days ago because it hit 80F in southern California and I was just waiting for the right time to wear this top!

I bought the top at H&M with a 30% off coupon. It was originally $25 I think and to me, it wasn't worth it, but I waited for a couple months and finally H&M had a coupon and I got it!!! XD

The jeans are from American Eagle and the boots I found when I was shopping along street vendors, so sorry, it's a no-brand.

This a soft and feminine but not too girly look. A loose flowy top is balanced by a pair of skinny jeans as the bottoms. It would also look great with shorts and boots or shorts and sandals, but the air is still a bit chilly so I opted for jeans. And don't forget to wear a cami underneath this sort of top! It is definitely see through and if you just have a bra underneath you'll look slutty. Either that or you'll get hit on by a lot of sketchy guys. =P

I think it is a great casual everyday outfit that is more interesting and fun than just a normal blouse. Cold shoulder tops makes the shoulders appear smaller and rounder so one looks cuter and more feminine.

I'm so happy the weather is finally getting warmer and sunnier, I want to wear light and fun clothes and stop bundling myself up! ^o^

I'm planning to do a sort of spring look book, so stay tuned for that!
Thanks so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed the look and please give me any feedback that would help me film better!
Do you prefer that I film indoors or outdoors?

Thanks and I will see you later!

Sixth Sasa Haul and Review! =)

Hi Everybody!

Here is my 6th Sasa Haul and Review! =D

I bought the following products:
-Kai Hair Pins (M)
-Kai Hair Pins (L)
-Suki Angel Long & Uplifting Mascara
-Suki Devil Volume & Curl Mascara

I have used these products for about 2 months and here is the review!

Kai Hair Pins in medium length
This product costs $2.60 US. It is 5cm or 2in long. It is black in color.

What do I think of this product?
I really like these hair pins. Even though they are not very long, they are very strong and grip well. The material is very sturdy and long lasting. The paint does not chip and the metal does not become weak and soft after use. I like the ball-point ends of the hair pins because they do not scrape my scalp when I putting hair pins in. They slide in easily and smoothly when I need to pin back my hair or put it up in a bun. And when I pull them out, they glide out easily without painfully pulling on the remaining strands of hair. They are so strong that I only need to put in 4 pins for a very secure hair bun and my hair is about 12 inches below my chin, it is very long!

Do I recommend this product?
If you are looking for strong, long lasting, smaller hair pins, I recommend this product! These are great hair pins to invest in if you don't need to go to the trouble of looking for them.

Kai Hair Pins in long length
This product costs $1.80 US. It is about 5.5 cm or 2.13 in long. The color is black.

What do I think of this product?
This hair pin isn't much longer than the version in medium length, just a tad bit longer. It is also very sturdy and strong, with good metal that is not soft and does not weaken. The paint does not chip.
It is easy to slide the hair pin in, BUT: my main issue with this hair pin is that at the tips of the pin, there are no round ball-points which can scratch my scalp or skin, which can be a bit painful and annoying. And, the hair pin is so tight that when I pull it out, it can painfully pull on one or two strands as I take it out.
Because of the sharper tips I do not use these pins to put my hair into a bun and I just use it to bobby pin the sides of my head or pull my bangs out of my face when I need to. When I pull it out, I just pull them out slowly and carefully so that I won't rip a couple of hair strands out. However, the tightness on those remaining strands will end up damaging the hair, which I don't like.

Do I recommend this product?
Even though this is a very sturdy and strong hair pin, I do not recommend this product because of the hair pin ends have no ball-point tip to protect the skin when you put the hair pin in your hair and also because it can tend to painfully pull on hair when you take it out.

Now, before I review the mascaras I have to show you how cute they are!! XD
The only reason why I bought these mascaras because I thought they were sooooo cute! haha

These mascaras were sooooo pretty! I loved the packaging and the design! Apparently the angel and devil wings on the mascaras are rings that you can take off and wear on your fingers! But I really love them when they are just on the mascaras.

Suki Angel Long & Uplifting Mascara
This product costs $9.90 US. It contains 8mL of product.
It is said to lengthen and curl lashes to give you the innocent and pure look of an angel. It is said to contain repairing ingredients to prevent lashes from breaking and moisturize the lashes.

What do I think of this product?
To be honest I did not use this mascara very often, because I found it difficult to use. The wand shape was hard for me to brush through my eyelashes and it was hard to go from root to tip with this particular shape. After I did apply it to the best of my ability, my eyelashes were darker but not that much longer and did not really curl much and I felt it did not do much to lengthen and curl my lashes. About the repairing ingredients, I do not know because I did not use it that often, so I cannot say.
The formula is on the drier, stickier side because it is a water resistant mascara. And overall, it does last for a long time without flaking or smudging. Only until the end of the day do I see some smudging. Also, this formula does not irritate my eyes or the skin around my eyes. But because of the drier formula, it is easier and faster for this mascara to dry out and it needs to be used often to get your money's worth.
Overall, this mascara doesn't work for me, but I really like the design because it is very cute and it is more of a novelty item for me.

This is the applicator wand shape. It kind of reminds me of a caterpillar? lol Has bulbous waves or bumps.

Do I recommend this product?
If you have shorter, more spare lashes, I do not recommend this product. It will probably not do much for you. However, if you have longer thicker lashes and you do not mind the applicator shape, this might be a good product to try for fun. I can't really guarantee anything because it did not work for me, but I will say it is very cute! XP

Suki Devil Volume & Curl Mascara
This product costs $9.90 US. It contains 8 mL of product.
It is said to thicken and curl the lashes to give a bewitching and alluring look of a devil. It is also said to contain repairing ingredients to prevent lashes from breaking and moisturize the lashes.

What do I think of this product?
I like this mascara much better, especially because I love the mascara wand. It is a bit curved but not too curved so it fits my flatter  Asian eyes better than curved American mascara wands. It was very easy to apply and of course, I loved the design too! =P
This does curl, thicken, and lengthen my lashes a little. However, it is not a dramatic effect. I will not look different, just a little more enhanced. You could also say that this means that it doesn't really do much for my lashes, but I do prefer a more natural enhanced effect.
The formula is a drier and stickier formula because it is water resistant. However it does not clump my lashes together and does not irritate my eyes. It does not flake and barely smudges for most of the day. If I wore it starting at 9am, it would only start smudging around 5 or 6pm. And it does not smudge too much. This is a drier formula, so it will tend to dry out faster, and needs to be used often enough so that you won't loose any product once it dries out.
Overall this mascara worked better for me that the Angel version, but it does not give much of a dramatic effect and is a lot more subtle. However, I love the design!

This is the shape of the applicator. You can see that it is slightly curved but not very curved in shape.

Do I recommend this product?
If you are looking for a way to softly enhance your eyelashes, then I recommend this product. The mascara wand design makes it easy to apply the mascara and it does not smudge a lot. Please just keep in mind that this mascara does not change the length and thickness of your eyelashes a lot, so if you are looking for a more dramatic or more visible effect, then this may not work for you.

So I hope you liked this review. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to write in the comment box below! Thank you so much for reading and I will see you later! =)

Review on NYX 5 Color Shadow The Caribbean Collection

Hi Everyone!

I'm sorry I've been neglecting my posts! DX I just took a midterm this morning and I am finally free to write a review!

Today I am going to review on the NYX 5 Color Shadow The Caribbean Collection in
 "I Dream of Jamaica"

This product costs $15 at the NYX online website in Canada but I believe that I got this for about $10 (in some small asian makeup store). The net weight of the shadows are 0.28 oz or 8 grams.
You can find this online, or in random small makeup stores that happen to sell NYX products.

What do I think of this product?
I was wondering a little if this is a copycat of NYX but I am not sure. This is sold online on the NYX website in Canada but I do not see it on the online website for the US. Perhaps it is a discontinued product? I am not sure, but it looks very much like NYX and the Canadian website looks legitimate. I think it is safe to believe that it is indeed a NYX product but I leave the benefit of the doubt to you. =P Edit: This is a legit but discontinued NYX product!
I bought this in the Santa Anita mall in Pasadena last year during the summer in a new and tiny asian makeup store (the name I forgot). And they were selling loads of NYX products.
Anyway, so I bought this eyeshadow palette because I wanted sort of a natural palette that I could just travel around with me on short trips. And I wanted distinctly different shades of brown, not the eyeshadow palettes that have some shades of colors that look subtly different in the pan but the same on the skin.

So from left to right(following the swatches and palette picture above):
1st color is a very light and shimmery coral-pink color
2nd color is a very light and shimmery champagne-yellow color
3rd color is a sort of shimmery grey-brown color
4th color is a soft shimmery dark brown color
5th color is a soft shimmery very dark brown-black color

The coral-pink and the champagne-yellow color show more of a difference on the eyes than the swatches. You can see a gradation of brown colors from a lighter brown to the darkest brown.

I have tried this out and overall I do like the colors. I can use them for everyday or for a smokey eye look. The coral light pink and champagne-yellow colors I can use to highlight the inner corners of my eyes or the ball of my eyelids. I can use the very dark brown-black color to line my lashline for a soft and natural look.
The pigmentation is okay/kind of normal. I think it could be better. I always use an eyeshadow primer to make the colors stronger and more vivid so it works well enough for me.
The eyeshadows apply evenly and are easily to blendable and buildable. But, the eyeshadows are a bit powdery so I need to work with them carefully and there is some eyeshadow fallout onto my cheeks when I apply the eyeshadow onto my eyes, sometimes even when I tap the excess off my brush. It is not alot of fallout, and fallout is greatly diminished when I tap off excess. But, fallout is pretty annoying and I don't like dealing with it which is probably my main concern with this eyeshadow palette. I do not use this palette as often as I would like to because of the fallout. Pigmentation can be built up with layering but fallout is difficult to fix.

Do I recommend this product?
If you do not like fallout, then I do not recommend this eyeshadow palette. If you do not mind eyeshadow fallout or you can deal with it, I think this is a good palette to try. The colors are a good variety and you can create a lot of looks with it. Just keep in mind that they are all shimmery to varying degrees, and the 5th color is the least shimmery.

Review on "RESIST" BHA 9! =D

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to February! The weather is starting to get warmer and the days longer in southern CA, but the wind and evenings are still pretty chilly. =P

Today I am going to review on "RESIST" BHA 9
This product comes in 2 sizes. The deluxe sample size costs $3.50 and contains 0.03 fluid oz or 0.83mL of product. The regular size costs $37 and contains 0.3 fluid oz or 8.4 mL of product. You can find this on Paula's Choice here.
It is supposed to diminish facial bumps, spots, redness, wrinkles, shrink pores, and balance skin oils. It is color and fragrance free and has had no animal testing done on it.
Directions: Apply a pea-sized amount daily, only at night, over stubborn imperfections as a leave-on spot treatment. Use as the last step in your nightly skincare routine.
Caution: Do not use if you are allergic to aspirin, avoid contact with eyes, and use sunscreen to protect your skin.

What do I think of this product?
So, I actually saw Gossmakeupartist review this product last year in October and I decided to get it. And I must say, I love this product! I bought the deluxe sample size to save money and, of course, be safe in case my skin reacted badly or it did nothing for me.
My main purpose for buying this product was to unclog and shrink my pores. Because I have big pores. Q_Q. Anyway, the consistency of the product is clear and a little thick and slippery. This product does not redden or irritate my skin.
I followed directions and used it only at night as the last step in my nightly skincare routine. I applied it to my nose and cheek areas with large pores. And when I woke up in the morning, I saw the most significant pore shrinking results I have ever seen! =D (works even better the second day as well!) My pores were much smaller than they used to be and I could tell that each pore was less dark or grey which means that they were less clogged. And this was only after 1 use! It obviously won't make my pores disappear but they are much smaller and less visible. It also made my oily skin areas less oily which is a plus!
I only use this 1 or 2 times a week and 4 times in a month at most because that is enough for the results I want. Also, I don't like using strong skincare products often. This is an amazing product for emergencies. One time I was messing with my clogged pores and as a result made them really red, swollen, and HUGE! D=, and I was freaking out because I didn't want to look like this the next day. So I applied this product and the next day, my pores were not inflamed, not swollen, and much smaller!
A little goes a long way and I just need the smallest amount to apply and spread out on my problem areas. It has been 3 months and I still have half of the deluxe sample left. I don't need to use it often and I don't need to use a lot of it. I would definitely repurchase this product but I will still go for the deluxe sample size because that is all I really need.
As for spots, redness, and wrinkles, I did not use this product for those because I only bought the sample size and my biggest problem is my pores. I do not have a lot of wrinkles because I am a young person and my redness is helped by my moisturizer.

Do I recommend this product?
If you are looking for a product to significantly reduce pore size and help unclog pores I definitely recommend this product! If you are going to purchase this product, I do recommend that you get the sample size because it is always better to play safe and save money! XD
If you are looking for for a treatment for wrinkles, spots, and redness, I trust Gossmakeupartist's review and I think this product is worth a shot to treat those problems!

So I hope you enjoyed this review. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to write in the comment box below! =) Thank you for reading and we shall speak soon!
